With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Willoughby of Greenville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Larry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Larry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Willoughby and Laura Long Willoughby. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Willoughby; his children, Garry Willoughby of Greenville, NC, Beverly A. Willoughby of Raleigh, NC, Taisa Willoughby and Tyra Oliver of Clayton, NC; and his siblings, Noah Willoughby, Jr. of Bethel, NC, William H. Willoughby of Greenville, NC, Bernice Willoughby and Joyce Ann Willoughby of Greenville, NC. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church (1295 Mumford Rd, Greenville, NC 27834). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
