He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Wooten and Mary Elizabeth Wooten; and his sister Betty Mae Vines. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Wooten; his children, Scottie James Wooten and Laurie Ann Wooten; his siblings, Eleanor Nobles, Shirley Chapman, Jimmy Wooten, Harriett Tillery and Erwin Wooten (Portia); his grandchildren, Kacee Wooten, Keyerra Wooten, Nyssa Wooten, Amber Hardy, Kyree, Jalen, Jayce and Jy'cere; and his aunts and uncles, Maude Barnes and Willie.
