With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Wilhelmsen (Greenville, North Carolina), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on January 11, 2024 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Philip Oldberg; her husband Roy Wilhelmsen; and her children, David Wilhelmsen and Nancy Wilhelmsen Stiller. She is survived by: her brother Willard Oldberg of Prairie Village; her son Bruce Wilhelmsen (Lisa Brenner) of Greenville; her daughter-in-law Donna Wilhelmsen Kearsley of Mesa, Colorado.; and her grandchildren, Kirstin Wilhelmsen of Decatur, Doug Roberts of Ashton, Kimberly McDaniel of Atlanta, Jason Wilhelmsen of Smyrna, Tricia Brackeen of Eden Prairie, Anna Wilhelmsen of Santa Monica and Jon Wilhelmsen of Santa Monica, California.. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews.
There, her resilience was again on display when she survived COVID-19 before the availability of vaccines.
