She was predeceased by: her grandfather Artis Earl Payton; her aunt Vanessa Payton-Williams; and her brother Demetris Markus Wiggins. She is survived by: her parents, Levon Mooring (Alice) and Carolyn Wiggins-Gorham (Bert); her husband Dwayne Brimage; her daughters, Jania and Janasia Johnson; her stepchildren, Dynetta Daniels, Nathaniel Brimage and Justice Lewis; her grandmother Minnie Pilgreen (Jody); her siblings, Tamika Scott-Jones (Diamond Jones) of Richmond, VA, Michelle Wooten of Greenville, N. C., Christian Mooring of Greenville, N. C., Mitchell Wooten and Levon Mooring Jr. (April) of Greenville, NC; her uncle Otis Payton Jr. of Baltimore, MD; and her aunts, Sherry Payton, Denise Payton (Gretta) and Lovely P. Golden of Greenville, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
