He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Cates Ellers; his children, Wanda Avery (William) of Grifton, Tina Pinkham (Timmy) of Bath, Crystal Ellers, Pauline Stainback (Ricky) of New Bern and Joey Ellers (Brittany) of Black Jack; his grandchildren, Timothy Avery (Jessica) of Grifton, Angel Worthington (Charles) of Grifton, Adam Pinkham (Mollie) of Greensboro, Ariel Myers (Matt) of Washington, Jacob Jett of Greenville, Anastasia Whitehurst of Greenville, Eden, Branson Stainback of New Bern, Jamie, Carla, Mya, Anah, Noel and Cora Ellers of Black Jack; his great grandchildren, Brantlee Wayne Avery, Madilyn Worthington, Laura Cate Worthington, Aubrey Worthington and Melody Jett; his sister Brenda Rogers of Havelock; and his uncle Richard Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
