He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Searles and Rosalie Searles. He is survived by: his wife Linda Searles; his sons, Joseph "J. A." Anthony Searles, III (Maelyn Sawyer) of Winterville and Paul Searles (Jocelin) of Fuquay Varina; and his grandsons, Lucas and Shane Searles.
