He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Lee Brown and Sadie Bell Houston Brown; his daughter Jennifer N. Brown; and his brother Odell Houston. He is survived by: his children, Linda J. Brown-Harrell (Rodrick) of Charlotte, NC and Jonathan Brown II of Parkville, MD; his grandchildren, Madeline, Zora Brown of Baltimore, MD, Camryn and Rodrick Harrell III of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Katrina Moore (Bobby) of Greenville, NC, Sadie D. Daniels (Willie) of Grimesland, NC, Gloria Brown-Scott of Winterville, NC, Diane Brown of Winterville, NC, Carolyn Brown of Winterville, NC, Michael Brown of Winterville, NC and Kenneth Brown of Greenville, NC; his aunt Janette Riggins of Chicago, IL; and his uncle Clarence Houston (Catherine) of Warsaw, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
