He is survived by: his son Robert James Wall; his daughter-in-law Sarah Buckner Wall; and his siblings, Tommy Wall (Faye) of Clay Root, Charles Wall (Betty) of Greenville and Judy Whitford of Raleigh. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
