It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Elizabeth Mills Evans (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 20, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Plum Mills and Leona Kite Mills; her brother John Lacy Mills; her husband Ronald M. Evans; her children, Pam Evans Sanders (Chip) of Cape Carteret, Eileen Evans Best (Jeff) of Grimesland and Ronald Marion Evans, Jr. (Natalie) of Grimesland; her grandchildren, Hunter Sanders (Alecia Gurkins), Clay Sanders, Mallory and Haven Best; her brothers, Harold Mills (Pat) of Grimesland and Don Mills (Pauline) of Vanceboro; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Evans (Lee), Tony Evans (Nancy) and Arlene Buffington (Ronnie) of Grimesland. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
