He is survived by: his wife Brenda Martin Barefoot; his children, James Darnay Barefoot (Pam) of Goldsboro and Deirdre Martin Barefoot Briley (Kenneth) of Greenville; his grandsons, Robert Briley (Blake), William Briley (Hunter) and Jonathan Briley (Melanie); his great grandchild Lauren; and his sister Theraldine Barefoot (Howard Benton) of Benson.
