With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Vincent Jr. (Greenville, North Carolina), born in Wilmington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Vincent Willis and James D. Vincent, Sr.; his grandparents, Louise Merrick, Walter Gause, Rosalie Vincent, Oscar Moseley and Morris Vincent; his aunt Gwendolyn Toomer; and his uncle Walter Gause.
He is survived by: his spouse Carmen Robinson-Vincent; his son James "Trey" Vincent III (Candis); his grandchildren, Jazzmya, Janiyah and Jordan; his stepfather Russell Willis; his sister Gwendolyn Willis; his nieces, Natalya Grady and Terrilyn Robinson; his nephew Russell V. Willis; his aunts, Gale Washington Tyler (Roderick), Barbara Dorlus, Sylvia Gause and Lynda Moseley; his uncle Michael Washington; his brothers, Ronald Toomer, Alonza Toomer (Juanita) and Raymond Toomer; his niece Morgan O'Brien; and his close friends, Frankie Bordeaux (Faye) and James Jones (Beverlyn). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church (1095 Allen Rd, Greenville, NC 27834). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Memorial Cemetery.
