He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Saunders and Bernestine Moore Saunders; his uncle Alge Lee Moore, Sr.; and his son James Farentino Morning (Darlene) of Richmond, VA. He is survived by: his children, Shelby Askew-Aiken (Alex) of Winterville, NC and LaWanda Denise Saunders-Bland (Lamont) of Williamston, NC; his siblings, Jeanette M. Modica (Theodore) of Wake Forest, NC, Amy Marshall-Brown (James) of Tarboro, NC, Maria D. Marshall of Rocky Mount, NC and Jimmy Briley (Tammy) of Norfolk, VA; his aunt Helen Moore; and his uncle Robert C. Moore, Sr. (Rose) of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
