He was predeceased by: his siblings, J. A., Louise Elks (H. V. Elks), Virginia Williams (J. T. Williams), A. J. Speight (Christine) and Donald "Tonkey" Speight.
He is survived by: his sister Alice Moore Speight; his wife Joan Conway Speight; his children, Kymm Speight and Adam Speight; his stepchildren, Robin Howell, Karen Sutton and Kevin Stox; his grandchildren, Ashton Dunn and Aspen Lee Thurman; his great grandchild Bryce Dunn; his siblings, Hilda Jones, Estelle Caraway (Gilbert), Jo Ann Speight and Charlie Ray Speight (Cathy); his sister-in-law Maxine Speight; and his close friend Billy Dunn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
