It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Rogers Byrd of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 25, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Alford and Geneva Lona Winstead Temple; her former husband Lindsay "Hal" Rogers; and her brothers, Cecil Temple and Rev. Jimmy Temple.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur "Tommy" Byrd of Greenville; her sons, Randy Rogers (Janelyn) of Albemarle and Glenn Rogers of Wilson; and her niece Karen Temple Smith of Albemarle. She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
