It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Matthews Clift (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne Enoch Clift; her siblings, Russell Melvin Matthews, Mildred Louise Davenport and Beulah Mae Kuhn; and her grandson Matthew Stephen Brown.
She is survived by: her brothers, James Philip Matthews and John Harvey Matthews; her children, Russell Clift (Laura) of Farmville and Christine Clift of Ayden; her grandchildren, Tyler Brown (Johnnica), Shaelyn Clift, Dustin Clift, Andy Reckley, James Reckley, Paul Reckley and Maggie Reckley; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Brown, Noah Brown, Elizabeth Reckley, Evalyn Reckley, Isaac Shackelford and Hannah Shackelford.
