She was predeceased by: her parents, Nyman Elks and Thelma Haddock Elks; her significant other William A. "Bill" Dunn; and her siblings, Jo Elks Keeter and Coy Lee Elks.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Kay Dunn Piner and William A. "Bill" Dunn, Jr. (Sherry); her grandchildren, Rex Piner (Ashley), Hillary Dunn, Brooke Dunn and Will Dunn; her great grandchildren, Jackson Piner, Abby Piner and Chloe Lewis; and her sisters, Renay Elks Ross of Greenville and Dolly Elks Cox of Greenville.
