He was predeceased by: his wife Kathryn McLawhorn Sauls. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Sauls of Greenville and Jeffrey Sauls (Ann) of Washington; his granddaughters, Taylor Johnson (Kevin) of Garner and Brynn Sauls (Spencer Warren) of Raleigh; his great grandchild Henry Cooper Johnson of Garner; and his siblings-in-law, James and Hilda McLawhorn of Grifton.
