She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard Thompson and Mattie Elizabeth Perry Thompson; her siblings, John Richard Thompson, Jr., Casper G. Thompson and Ella Louise Thompson Collins; her siblings-in-law, George Lee Collins and Gertrude Effie Koonce Thompson; and her nephew John R. Thompson III.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Diane Mendoza; her son-in-law Henry V. Jackson Jr.; her nieces and nephews, Wayne E. Thompson (Shirley), J. Kenneth Thompson, Terry V. Thompson Thomas (Bradley) and Jeffrie Ann Thompson Holloway (Ralph); her sister-in-law E. Louise Thompson; and her cousins, Chris and Collette Ferguson of Valley Springs.
