He is survived by: his wife Joann Phillips of Greenville, NC; his daughter Stephanie Phillips of Kinston, NC; his stepchildren, Michael Cooper of Knightdale, NC, Todd Cooper of Upper Marlboro, MD and Shelia Cooper of Raleigh, NC; and his siblings, Johnny Ray Phillips of Greenville, NC, Edna Horton of Ayden, NC and Elsie Ingram of Ayden, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
