She was predeceased by: her parents, Xury Earl and Ruth Highsmith Manning; and her husband Joseph Millard Butterworth, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cotten Butterworth Moring (Thomas Bickett) of Greensboro, NC, Gray Butterworth Clements and Joseph Millard Butterworth, III of Bethel; her grandchildren, Ashley Moring Voss (Jason) of Greensboro, NC, Emily Moring Buckland (Jason) of Narrows, VA, Joseph Millard Butterworth IV of Greenville, NC and Alexandra Butterworth Mosimon (Colton) of Olathe, KS.; her great grandchildren, Jackson Benjamin Buckland, Wyatt Thomas Buckland, Margaret Frances Buckland of Narrows, VA, Lucy Cotten Voss and Chloe Elizabeth Voss of Greensboro, NC; and her friend Annette Jacocks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Frances' name to Bethel United Methodist Church, PO Box 207, Bethel, NC 27812 or to a charity of one's choice.
