She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred McLawhorn and Edna McLawhorn; her husband Kenneth Hathaway; and her siblings, Louise Spain (Russell Sr.), Fred McLawhorn (Mary Lou), Jerry McLawhorn (Lila), Vivian White (Owen) and Wiley McLawhorn.
She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Ann Stokes (James); her grandchildren, Sheri Black (Dan), John Stokes and Sarah Stokes; and her great grandchild Helaina Black. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
