She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Hampton Perdue and Sallie Bell Smith Perdue; her husband Samuel James Murray, Jr.; her brother Wade Francis Perdue; and her sister-in-law Peggy Murray Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Murray Caras of Hertford, NC, Pamela Murray White of Greenville and Gerald Murray (Pamela Davis) of Elizabeth City; her brothers, Willard Perdue (Mary) and James Vernon Perdue (Eleanor); her brother-in-law George Lee Martin; her grandchildren, Erin Lea Whitehurst (James), Sara Caras, Thomas White (Lindsey Welch), Morgan Murray and Spencer Murray; her great grandchildren, Lawson, Eden and Bennett Whitehurst; her close friends, Wanda, Ray Kubitz and Glenda Sawyer; and her grandmothers, Creech, Jane Moore, Sarah Haigood, June Cherry and Frances Garrett. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
