He is survived by: his husband Eric Muster; his children, Amanda, Abigail and Alex; his siblings, Colleen Derderian (Greg) of New Hampshire, Brian Scanlan (Veronique) of Florida, Maureen Sanford of South Carolina, Kevin Scanlan (Susan) of Chicago, Patrick Scanlan (Dianne) of Texas and Kathleen Ochall (Michael) of Ohio; his sister-in-law Nicci Hess of Ohio; and his uncle Raymond Veselik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
