He is survived by: his wife Marie McCarter; his daughters, Catherine McCarter of Tampa, Brenda McCarter of Salisbury, NC, Debra McCarter of Kentucky and Sarah Greenlee (Douglas) of Sanford, NC; his grandchildren, Koty, Maghan, Malcolm, Christopher, Alyssa, David, Tabitha, Dustin, Devin and Angel; his great grandchildren, Pennelope, Edward, Anastasia, Jayden, Natali and Nathan; his brother Joe McCarter (Mary) of Nashville, NC; and his niece Tonya McCarter Light.
