He is survived by: his wife Joan Spikes; his children, Donna Spikes Duncan and Michael Griffin; his grandchildren, Caleb Duncan, Conner Duncan, Seth Griffin and Meghan Griffin; and his siblings, Shirley Spikes Bates and Wallace Spikes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
