With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Don Edward Hardison of Greenville, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2024 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his children, Laurie Evelyn Hardison and David Stanley Hardison; and his sisters, Polly Anna Castello and Velma Sanna Woolard. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Edna Gariepy; his children, Sharon Lee Hardison, Deborah Anne Hardison Gautier and Don Edward Hardison, Jr. (Diane); his stepchildren, Janet Martin (David), Susan Smith (Glenn) and Paul Birch (Ann); his grandson Donovan Michael Hardison; his stepgrandchildren, Allyson Merchant, Victoria Merchant and Bryce Merchant; and his close friend Gerry Roddin. He is also survived by great great grandchildren, nephew and nieces.
