He was predeceased by: his mother Mabel Humphrey Edmonson; and his wife Nancy. He is survived by: his daughters, Lauren McNames (John) of Winston-Salem, NC and Leigh Edmonson (Drew Hackelman) of Durham, NC; his brother Jim Edmonson (Barbara) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandsons, Parker McNames and Price McNames; and his nephew Mark Edmonson (Lyndsay May) of Greensboro, NC.
