He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Hardee and Gertrude Hardee; his brothers, Johnnie Wayland Hardee and Richard Earl Hardee; his sister-in-law Rachael Phillips Hardee; his stepfather Charlie Lee Hardee; and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Rouse Haddock and Grover C. Haddock.
He is survived by: his wife Lou Anna Haddock Hardee; his son Curtis Lee Hardee, Jr. (Anita Spain Hardee); his grandchildren, Breanna and Brandon Hardee of Black Jack, NC; his son Michael Todd Hardee (Dana Jenkins Hardee); his grandchildren, Walker Todd, Briley Franklin, Joshua Drake and Jantzen Tate Hardee of Grimesland, NC; his niece Tammy Hardee Wright (Bert); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Meredith, Tucker and Macie; his nephew Richard "Ricky" Earl Hardee II (Donna); his great-nephews, Tyler and Davis; his nephew Johnnie Mark Hardee; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cali, Grant and Rebecca of Greenville, NC. He is also survived by numerous cousins and relatives.
