She was predeceased by: her brother Tony James; and her parents, Ervin James and Faye James. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Eubanks; her children, J. L. McGowan of Washington and Terrie Smith (Mike) of Rocky Mount; her stepdaughters, Beverly Mills (Boot) of Chocowinity and Crystal Blake (Richard) of Vanceboro; her siblings, Joann Mizell (Jimmy) of Stokes, Linda Faye Mizell (Donald) of Greenville, John James (Jeanne) of Wilson and Gus James (Carla) of Winterville; her grandchildren, Jerin Smith, Greyson Smith, Savanna Smith, Chase Smith, Damian Blake, Sierra Blake, Junior Blake and Remington Blake; and her stepgrandson Nathaniel Mills.
