He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Haddock and Reba Mills Haddock; his half-sister Lucille Haddock Rose; his nephew Daily Stowe; his children, Adam Eames of Ayden, NC, Elisabeth Becky McDonald of Elizabeth City, Beverly Gail Combs and Plymouth; his sister Rosemary Stowe of Raleigh; and his stepson Walter Lee Edwards of Washington. He was also cherished by nephews, nieces and cousins.
