It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Ray Jones of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Charles Ray departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charles Ray. Though Charles Ray may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Jones and Judy Jones. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Braxton Jones; his children, Brandy Galloway (Cale), Jeremy Jones and Cameron Perkins; his grandchildren, Marina, River and Boone Galloway; his siblings, Elbert Jones and Barbara Winebarger (Bob); his nephew Glenn Jones; and his niece Jennifer Smith of Greenville.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Service & Crematory (605 Country Club Dr, Greenville, NC 27834).
