He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hancock and Katherine McLean Turner. He is survived by: his wife Linda White Turner; his children, Dr. Susan J. Turner of Winston-Salem and Charles Hancock Turner, III (Elaine) of Raleigh; his stepchildren, Michael Chadwick "Chad" Clark (Amy) of Greenville and Misti Hignite (Keith) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Matilda Lie-Nielsen, Turner Lie-Nielsen, Vivian Kiani and Charles Hancock Turner, IV; his stepgrandchildren, Meghan Nethercutt, Jami Nethercutt, Brooke Clark, Daylyn Clark and Brady Hignite; and his siblings, Katherine T. Anderson (William), Betsy Delphos (William), Ellen T. Chance (Ken) and David Turner (Maryann). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
