He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Esther Hatch Burnette and Charles Daniel Burnette; his pet Frody; his wife Patricia Matthews Burnette; his daughters, Debbie Carr (Lee) of Durham and Jean Ann Woodard (Rick) of Topsail Beach; his grandchildren, Carver Wilson (Christopher), Patrick Woodard (Laura), Cameron Thornton (Caleb) and Tyler Barnhill (Taylor); and his siblings, Ann Beasley (Joe), Bill Burnette (Susan) and Jimmy Burnette (Darlene). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
