She was predeceased by: her husband Wilton G. Joyner; her son Matthew Gordon Joyner; her parents, Gordon Smith and Louise Smith; and her sisters, Revalene S. Bartlett of Greenville and Chris S. Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn Mitchell Joyner (Rhonda), Jeffrey Lane Joyner (Denise) and Carrie Anne Joyner; her grandchildren, Mitch, Adam, Leah, Spencer (Laura), Kendall and Cameron Joyner; her great grandchildren, Devin, Hunter and Lincoln; and her brother Gordon Franklin Smith of Gastonia, NC..
