She is survived by: her husband David E. Allen; her sons, Philip Wesley Smith (Karen) of Ayden, Kevin Wayne Smith (Louisa) of Chicod and Richard Troy Smith (Sharon) of Chicod; her grandchildren, Zack Smith, Macy Smith, Griffin Smith Gurkin, Nicholas Smith and Cameron Smith; her sister Hope Jones McLawhorn (Daniel) of Ayden; her siblings-in-law, Diane Allen of Kinston and Jim Carroll of Kinston; and her pet Sugar.
