He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hodges and Ruby Boyd Hodges; his son Bobby Earl Hodges, Jr.; his grandson Cody Lee Hodges; and his siblings, Pete, Buddy, Grady, Jesse Hodges, Doris Stocks, Janice Mosley, Joyce Warren and Faye Steinbeck.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Hodges; his children, Christy Grimes-Payton (Travian) of Ayden, Johnny Hodges (Amanda) of Chocowinity and Marie White; his grandchildren, Tradasia, TJ Payton, Mason, Kacie, Cora Hodges, Daniel, Sissy and Katie Parrisher; and his sisters, Jean (Nicky) and Jane Avery.
