Betty Jean Wainright Stancill Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Wainright Stancill Smith of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wainright and Lela Ruth Vandiford Wainright; her former husband Robert Stancill; and her siblings, Carolyn Wainright, Judy Harrell and Kenneth Wainright.

She is survived by: her husband Thelbert Smith; her daughter Rhonda Kracke (Fred); her stepson James Smith (Jeanne); her grandchildren, Sabrina Medina, Stephen Medina, Jennifer Jones and Jacob Smith; and her siblings, Mamie Ruth Stokes (Jamie), Brenda Davis (late James), Rachel Stocks (late Bill), Jeanette Reason (late Bill) and James Wainright.
