Betsy Stokes Briley Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2021, at the age of 86, Betsy Stokes Briley (Greenville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jarvis Calvin Stokes and Ethel Frances Smith; and her sisters, Frances Joyner, Helen Respess and Margaret Wallace.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Earl Briley of Stokes; her children, Robin Briley Avery (Tim) of Winterville, Christy Briley Sutton (Mike) of Stokes and Greg Briley (Sharon Waters) of Stokes; her grandsons, Brian Avery (Jamie), Taylor Avery (Ashley Sullivan), Chad Briley (Desiree Wynn), Tyler Sutton (Makayla Meeks) and Briley Sutton; her great grandchild Landon Avery; and her sister Ann Houston of Florida.

Those that attend the service are asked to wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Flowers are welcome but memorials may be made to Parker's Chapel FWB Church or a charity of one's choice.
