He was predeceased by: his wife Lula Belle Merrill; his parents, Benjamin Sr. and Ruth Merrill, Sr.; and his sister Julie Hyatt. He is survived by: his children, Crystal L. Moore (Tony) of Harkers Island and Benjamin "Benji" Merrill (Tomi) of Otway; his siblings, Debbie Chadwick of Beaufort, Jerry Merrill of Greenville and Johnny Merrill of Pink Hill; and his grandchildren, Austin Moore, Nicole Walton, Landon Merrill and Carma Merrill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
