He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cornelius Hughes and Ruby Pierce Hughes; and his siblings, Charles "Charlie" Wayne Hughes, Michael "Mickey" Eugene Hughes, Nancy Hughes Cayton and Marian Hughes Hendrickson.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Carlyle Hughes (Margaret), Edward Lynn Hughes (Joanne), Betty Hughes Glasgow and Ruby Hughes Belch; his wife Jo Frances Hughes; his daughters, Teresa Hughes Boyce, Tammy Hughes Oliver (Jeremy), Tracie Hughes, Linnette Willetts Nuckles and Tammie Willetts Newsome (Rudy); his grandchildren, Heather Boyce, Wade Boyce, Nathan Oliver, Jessica Lane, Hailey Oliver, Travis Robinson, Daniel Corwin, Kayleigh Corwin, Kailee Nuckles and Gabriel Newsome; and his great grandchildren, Jase Oliver, Jayden Lane and Kian Roydson. He is also survived by his father, mother, and siblings.
