She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Albert Edwards; and her son Charles R. Edwards. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Ann Gilbert of Greenville, NC, Lonnie Gilbert of Williamsport, PA, Curtis E. Edwards (Deborah) of Greenville and Mark C. Edwards of Raleigh; her stepson Melvin Bryant of Riverside, CA; her sister Eleanor Brodie of Charlotte; her sister-in-law Hazel Anderson of Greenville; and her close friends, Vivian Atkinson, Joyce Weldin and Minister Whitehurst. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
