It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Jean Blackmon Bass (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father William McKinley; her husband Clayton Vondrue Bass; her daughters, Sharon Lee Bass and Sandra Bass Palmer; and her sister Jerri McLamb.
She is survived by: her daughter Vonda Bass Robinson (Les) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Caroline Lassiter of Raleigh, Clay Robinson and Kate Robinson of Greenville; her nephews, Sam McLamb (Teena) of Mills River and Gary McLamb (Inge) of Burlington; and her caregivers, Marcelia Reeves, Ernestine Langley and Emma Langs.
