He is survived by: his wife Kaye Whitman Groome of Greensboro; his daughters, Kimberly Groome Allgood of Oak Island and Jennifer Groome of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Chase Bouchillon (Jossalin) of Old Fort, Bailey Allgood Queen (Matt) of Charlotte and Carter Allgood (Joselyne) of Asheboro; his great grandchild Emery Katherine Bouchillon of Old Fort; his brothers, Steve Groome (Cathie) of Colorado and Ben Groome of Greensboro; his nephews, Nathan, Jared, Jacob, Michael and Gabriel Groome; his great grandchild Queen; and his pet Willow.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Groometown Methodist Church (5005 Groometown Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
