He was predeceased by: his parents, Luella Spaugh and William Francis Shaffner, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Valar Wilson (Ray) and Margaret Shaffner; his grandchildren, Ryan McClellan, Hayden Wilson and Amelia Carter; his cousin Graydon Pleasants, Jr. (Margaret); his significant other Wolfpack; and also, Virginia Pleasants (Richard) and Graydon Pleasants, III.
