He is survived by: his wife Annie Hill Lloyd; his daughter Rashonda Lloyd; his siblings, Rufus Dewitt Lloyd (Gloris) of Elizabethtown, NC, Jean Lloyd, Ronald and Ruby Grace Jones (Walter) of Riegelwood, NC; his father-in-law Freddie Hill of Pollocksville, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Curtis Hill Pollocksville, Alfus Irving of New Bern, NC, Edna Cahoon (Charles) of New Bern, NC, Claudia Haddock (Robert) of Pollocksville, NC and Sharon Cunningham of Durham, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A wake was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Light Missionary Baptist Church (1105 Willow Rd, Greensboro, NC 27401). The lying in state was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kitchen Branch Missionary Baptist Church (2058 Baltimore Rd, Council, NC 28434).
