With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roberta Kennedy Stover of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth "Lizzie" McGarth and Henry Kennedy; her husband George Stover, Jr.; her siblings, Rebecca Kennedy, Henrietta Kennedy, Maria Kennedy Gawner, Mary Bell Kennedy Foster, Bessie Kennedy Wall, William Kennedy, Richard Kennedy and Joe Kennedy; her children, Mary Elizabeth Stover, George "Butch" Stover, III and John Stover; and her grandsons, Keith Stover and John Stover.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Lee Kennedy; her children, Ann Stover, Mike Stover (Ardeena Widemon) and Robert Lee Stover (Carolyn Stover); and her siblings, William Stover and Delores Kennedy Mackey of Queens, NY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, one great great great grandchild, two nieces.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hargett Funeral Service, Inc. (905 E Market St, Greensboro, NC 27401). Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mary's Catholic Church (1414 Gorrell St, Greensboro, NC 27401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
