She was predeceased by: her grandmother Annie Patterson Davis; her parents, Charles C. West and Opal D. West; her aunt Emma Gray Davis Drew; and her uncle John Herbert Drew.
She is survived by: her sons, David Gillespie (Barbara) of Winchester, VA and Allen Gillespie (Sophronia) of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 15 Great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Westminster Gardens Cemetery (3601 Whitehurst Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410).
Memorials may be offered in lieu of flowers to Trellis Supportive Care in Winston Salem or Starmount Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.
