Penelope Smith May Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 73, Penelope Smith May of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Griswold Smith "Gris" and Jane Robinson Smith "Robin"; and her sister Mary Bryan Smith. She is survived by: her children, Bryan May (Carolyn) of Charlotte and Laura May (Ricardo Araya) of Southern Pines; her sister Maura Hilliard Smith of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Maisy Araya, Aden Araya and Madeleine May; her niece Mary Bryan Morgan (Kane); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kennon Later, Grayson Kirk and Henry Kirk.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Village Pine Venue (1628 McCaskill Rd, Carthage, NC 28327).
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Children's Home Society of North Carolina or the Moore County Humane Society.
