He is survived by: his children, Dottie Cooke of Greensboro, Jacky Cooke (Susan) of Greensboro and Wendy McDonald (Wayne) of Randleman; and his grandchildren, Erin, Stephen, Melissa, Michael, John, Jackson, Anne, Tricia and Maggie. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Salem Funeral Home (2951 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Forsyth Memorial Park (3771 Yadkinville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A reception was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Salem Funeral and Cremation Services - Reynolda Rd (120 S Main St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
