She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Byrd Peele and Allie Whitaker Peele (Samuel Ellis Byrd); and her siblings, Verna Douglas, Faye Coltrane and Harold Peele.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Byrd (Vivian) of Greensboro, Kenneth Byrd of Charlotte, Sharon Caughron of Goldsboro and Angela Williamson (John) of Raleigh; her siblings, Maxine Cox of Raleigh and James Peele of High Point; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Chisholm (Ethan), Joshua Byrd, Rachel Cortez (Laytin), Miriam Caughron, Katherine Caughron, Jackson Caughron and Matthew Williamson; and her great grandchildren, Daniel Chisholm and Ara Cortez.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 2938 Holly Spring Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316. Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Spring Friends Meeting, 2938 Holly Spring Rd., Ramseur, NC 27316 to help others attend Jamaican Missionary Trips.
